Lead Process Engineer Role

This is a key opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to take on a leadership role and oversee the design and delivery of process projects. As part of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and managing process design through various engineering phases.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chemical or Process Engineering and excellent communication skills. They must also be able to work effectively with project managers and team members to ensure projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Manage and track single-discipline projects.
  • Write technical reports as required.
  • Prepare proposals and tenders for new and ongoing works.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Source new clients and leverage existing relationships to promote the process offering.

  • A Process Engineering degree (or equivalent) with 15+ years of process design experience.
  • Excellent skills in Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim, and DNV PHAST software packages.
  • Sound knowledge of process safety including risk identification and assessment.
  • Skills in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, instruments and equipment data sheets, utilities flow diagrams, and chemical consumption/effluent summaries.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Ability and experience in providing technical support through the full lifecycle of projects.
  • Hands-on, flexible, and able to work autonomously on multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Australian and international standards.
