About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation and Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Adelaide, Australia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering process control systems for mining, water, and gas infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to team members
  • Identify and meet the needs of internal and external customers, focusing on project outcomes
  • Develop tenders and bids, and manage work to budgets
  • Develop detailed engineering designs using appropriate methods, tools, processes, and software
  • Ensure design work is completed in accordance with specifications, regulations, and standards
  • Show drive and determination to meet short- and long-term goals
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and fault-finding skills
  • Attitude to drive innovation through design and implementation
  • Capable of detailed review and checking of others' work within own discipline
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in O&G, Mining & Minerals, and/or Infrastructure/Utilities
  • Demonstrated experience delivering process control systems for mining, water, and gas infrastructure projects
  • Degree-level qualifications in Electrical, Control Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Advanced SCADA design and implementation skills, particularly for Geo SCADA, Citect, FT View, Open Enterprise, and others
  • Exceptional design and implementation skills for PLC and RTU platforms (Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Emerson)
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, VB, and VBS preferred but not essential
  • Application of industrial internet/Industry 4.0 to leverage the power of smart machines and real-time analytics
