About the Role

SAGE Automation is a leading industrial automation and control systems integrator, recognized for delivering innovative solutions across various sectors. We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our South Australia team based in the Tonsley Innovation District.

This role involves successfully delivering complex engineering solutions for projects within requirements, schedule, and budget. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for applying engineering concepts, practices, and theories to design technical solutions, understanding customer needs, and developing results that meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver technical solutions that meet project requirements and scope.
  • Prepare electrical design, drawings, studies, calculations, and documentation to support project teams.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high-risk items to management.
  • Manage costs to deliver projects within budget constraints.
  • Meet milestones and time constraints of proposals, maintaining an up-to-date schedule with milestones, work breakdown structure, and tasks.
  • Manage changes to scope and project outcomes, raising cost variations for approval by the customer.
  • Clearly communicate project objectives, progress, and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate project risk, escalating high-risk items to management.
  • Customer relationship management, identifying new opportunities, and actively participating in the sales process and development of project bids.
Requirements
  • Appropriate engineering qualifications and relevant industry experience.
  • Australian driver's license.
  • Right to work in Australia.
