About the Role:
Metricon Homes, Australia's largest home builder, is seeking an experienced OH&S Field Officer to join our National Building Support team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Work Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems (WHSMS) across various construction projects.
- Conduct site inspections and provide guidance on OH&S best practices to ensure compliance with WHS Acts and Regulations.
- Develop and implement training programs for site staff on WHS procedures and protocols.
- Monitor and report on WHS performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with WHS Manager to ensure effective WHS management across the organization.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Completed White Card, trade, or scaffold ticket.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Residential construction experience with a focus on OH&S.
- Valid driver's license.
- Extensive knowledge of WHS Management Systems, WHS Acts, and Regulations.
- High computer proficiency in MS Office suite, including report writing.
