Welding Technician Trainee

Job Description

As a Welding Machine Operator Trainee, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled welding machines to produce welded wire mesh.

The ideal candidate will have experience in machine operation or strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating based on specifications, job orders, and verbal instructions
  • Maintaining and adjusting welding electrodes and machine as needed
  • Performing and recording quality checks
  • Reporting processing or operational issues to the supervisor
  • Removing welded mesh rolls from rollers and palletizing
  • Monitoring wire field
  • Performing preventative maintenance
  • Assisting other operators as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with 2-5 years of experience as a machine operator or strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain high efficiency and quality standards
