Ahrens Mining & Industrial Services has been established for over 30 years, gaining an outstanding reputation for welding and fabrication services in the petro-chemical and mining industry within Western Australia.

The company employs over 100 skilled employees including boilermakers, pipe fitters, and welders, with extensive experience in construction. Our technical support team ensures all projects are handled professionally, prioritizing quality, safety, and environmental standards.

We are seeking experienced Full-time and Casual Welders, Pipe Fitters, Metal Fabricators, Mechanical Fitters, Electronic Instrument Maintenance Technicians, Pressure Welders, Sheet Metal Workers, Metal Machinists, Mechanical Engineering Technicians, Boilermakers, Painters, and Mechanical Engineers for Workshop and Site Work.

Requirements vary by role, with specific experience in construction and maintenance projects for some positions, and relevant degrees for engineers. Equipment repairs include lathes, flange facing, and pipe bevelling.

Salary ranges:

• Welders, Pipe Fitters, Metal Fabricators, Mechanical Fitters: $76,515 - $85,000
• Mechanical Engineers: $100,000 - $120,000

Minimum Requirements:

• Trade Certificate
• Industry experience
• Pass medical and drug screening
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic
• Understanding of safety regulations and practices

Highly Desirable:

• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• Elevated Work Platform

We are also hiring experienced Production and Mechanical Engineers to oversee design, construction, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Interpreting drawings and specifications
• Monitoring plant equipment
• Shift handovers
• Resource and efficiency planning
• Operational analysis
• Continuous improvement and skills development
• Compliance with policies and safety standards
• Standards and policy development for installation, modification, and maintenance
• Inspections and performance optimization
• Maintenance management and design coordination
• Additional duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Relevant experience
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

Salary for engineers: $100,000 - $120,000.

Must have valid working rights in Australia.
