Family Law Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-driven professional to provide day-to-day legal and administrative support in family law matters.

This role is integral to our team, requiring strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Draft various legal documents, pleadings, chronologies, balance sheets, and correspondence.

  • Support solicitors and partners in preparing matters for court, including briefs for Counsel and conferences.

  • Attend court hearings and assist with case preparation as needed.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support advice and case strategy.

  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Manage client records, maintain accurate files, and coordinate the delivery and collection of documents.

  • Coordinate diaries and calendar appointments, including court dates and meetings.

  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as printing, photocopying, and file management.

  • Record time entries, prepare client invoices, and track expenses.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in paralegal studies or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a legal support or paralegal role, preferably within a family law firm.

  • Strong drafting and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in diary management and coordination.

  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

  • Solid knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.

  • A good understanding of legal processes and the court system.
