Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate student learning programs, projects, and associated materials.
  • Conduct pre-training assessments and assessments related to contract delivery for the program/s.
  • Participate in marketing and promotion of courses by liaising with industry contacts, networks, and learning communities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality assurance processes for program and course administration, design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation of training materials.
  • Identify, create, and participate in professional development relevant to teaching and vocational currency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' recent experience in Early Childhood Education & Care.
  • A degree, diploma, or certificate relevant to both content and academic level and industry experience relevant to Certificate III/Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110), including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLLN4111) or (TAELLN401A).
  • A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within the Early Childhood Education and Care industry.
  • The ability to take a lead role in the effective delivery of Early Childhood Education and Care courses.
  • The ability to teach and facilitate delivery of specialist Early Childhood Education and Care and related courses to groups with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and readiness.
  • The ability to use a variety of teaching modes and materials, including flexible and industry-based delivery.
  • A thorough knowledge of current industry practices and procedures with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain liaisons within Early Childhood Education and Care Industry.
  • The ability to co-operate in a team environment and, where necessary, work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Anti-Discrimination, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement.
  • A current Working with Children Check (Employee) – mandatory.
  • A current National Police Check – mandatory.
  • Knowledge of current issues in vocational education and training, particularly as they relate to areas taught within the Department – desirable.
