Job Opportunity: Oncology Day Unit Nurse

About the Position:

As a skilled professional in the Oncology Day Unit, you will deliver high-quality patient care to adult patients undergoing treatment for oncological and haematological conditions.

This busy 8-chair, 1-bed unit operates Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), offering collaborative outpatient care with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Work alongside Clinical Nurse Consultants, a Nurse Practitioner, a McGrath Cancer Nurse, and Oncology Educators
  • Provide exceptional support to patients and their families throughout their treatment journey

Ongoing oncology-specific training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

About You:

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • Accredited cannulation skills (highly desirable)
  • A strong commitment to patient-centred care
  • The ability to adapt in a busy clinical setting while maintaining professionalism and empathy
  • Motivation to learn and build expertise in oncology and haematology nursing
Requirements:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing (or working towards)
