About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager to join our business on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. This pivotal role will play a critical part in enhancing our workplace safety standards through a comprehensive review and overhaul of our current practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough gap analyses to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement in our WHS practices.
  • Develop and implement a strategic WHS plan, incorporating best practices and legal requirements.
  • Create, update, and implement WHS processes, policies, and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to management and staff on all aspects of workplace health and safety.
  • Lead risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
  • Cordinate and deliver WHS training programs to educate employees on safety practices and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and report on WHS performance, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and ensure effective integration of WHS initiatives into business operations.
