Electrical Substation Project Coordinator

As a seasoned project manager with extensive experience in electrical substation construction, you will oversee civil and electrical activities to ensure seamless planning, organization, and execution of field activities. Your expertise will drive the alignment of long-term asset management objectives.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including bid managers, commissioning managers, design teams, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. Experience in driving operational efficiencies and mentoring junior tradespeople is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and organize civil and electrical activities for substation projects to achieve strategic goals
- Provide technical support for field activities and hands-on assistance where necessary
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget constraints
- Mentor and develop junior tradespeople and apprentices to enhance their skills and knowledge
This role requires a tertiary qualification in Construction Management or an equivalent discipline and a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence. Additionally, a 'C' Class Manual Driver's License is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in substation construction in the electrical HV industry, with demonstrated leadership skills in supervising work groups and strong technical skills in HV electrical construction and maintenance practices.
