Accountant Role

As an Accountant in our Business Services team, you'll work with diverse clients from start-ups to global entities, delivering high-quality work while developing your career in a high-performing team.

The Business Services division adds value to clients' success by providing world-class advisory and compliance services. Our business advisers understand growth and success in the Australian and international markets and focus on helping clients understand their business and provide practical strategies to help them succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting standards across various industries;
  • Prepare income tax returns for entities including companies, trusts, and high net worth individuals;
  • Perform tax planning tasks and prepare advice relating to business operations and regulatory matters;
  • Provide business and tax advisory services.
About You

We're looking for a team player with a background in business services, tax, or accounting, who can bring a common sense approach to succeed in this role.

You'll need:

  • Relationship building skills to liaise with various levels and teams across BDO and provide exceptional service to clients;
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability;
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work;
  • CA or CPA qualifications, or be currently studying;
  • Knowledge and use of Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) and/or Xero is desirable.
