About the ProjectThis initiative focuses on protecting critically endangered leatherback turtles through collaborative efforts with local inhabitants. Volunteers participate in nightly and daily beach patrols, assist in operating a hatchery, and collect data on nesting dynamics.
The project's primary goal is to safeguard the habitats of these magnificent creatures. To achieve this, volunteers contribute to research, plastic contamination solutions, and community projects aimed at promoting sustainable sea turtle management.

This opportunity requires a minimum 3-month commitment (or 7 days as a volunteer). The project is based in Barra de Pacuare, on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica.
