Outbound Logistics Coordinator

The role of Outbound Logistics Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to retail stores and e-commerce customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring transportation flow of all retail orders from distribution centers and vendors to store locations is a key aspect of this position.
  • Directing 3PL facilities in all store-related deliveries regarding delivery schedules, carton caps, and special services or requirements for top volume locations is also an essential duty.
  • Coordinating with DC, Ecom, and vendor teams to ensure domestic and cross-border Ecom orders meet guest service level agreements (SLAs) is another critical responsibility.
  • Working closely with Allocation Planning, Merchandising & Inventory Control in prioritizing and tracking retail allocations is vital for the success of this role.
  • Monitoring DC ship dates and transit time of all retail orders on a daily basis is necessary for maintaining efficient operations.
  • Assisting in implementing new delivery projects to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency is a key goal of this position.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance utilization of existing distribution infrastructure is an ongoing process in this role.
  • Participating in root cause analysis to identify and resolve challenges is essential for continuous improvement.
  • Performing due diligence reviews and supporting feasibility studies to develop business cases for initiatives to reduce cost and improve customer service is a critical function.
  • Supporting the Retail Operations team and Retail Stores in all special projects and logistical matters is a key part of this role.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery of export shipments is a significant responsibility.
  • Managing invoice-related tasks, including generating, verifying, and reconciling invoices for outbound shipments is an essential duty.
  • Providing regular updates and reports on shipment statuses, operational issues, and performance metrics is necessary for effective communication.
Requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management principles is beneficial.
