Job Role: Senior Technical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Director to join our organisation in Perth, Australia. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, technical guidance and oversight to the onshore engineering team.

  • Provide strategic leadership, technical guidance and oversight to the onshore engineering team.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet safety, quality and regulatory standards, including ownership of MOC and TQ processes.
  • Act as the focal point for client and contractor engineering interfaces, driving collaboration and clarity.
  • Oversee the integrity of engineering documentation, systems and digital twin environments.
About This Position

The Senior Technical Director will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary engineering function to deliver safe, compliant and technically sound outcomes across operations and projects.

  • Provide strategic leadership, technical guidance and oversight to the onshore engineering team.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet safety, quality and regulatory standards, including ownership of MOC and TQ processes.
  • Act as the focal point for client and contractor engineering interfaces, driving collaboration and clarity.
  • Oversee the integrity of engineering documentation, systems and digital twin environments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Process, Electrical or Instrumentation).
  • Strong technical leadership experience within the Oil & Gas industry, ideally with FPSO or offshore exposure.
  • Proven understanding of Process Safety, MOC, TQ, Safety Cases and digital engineering systems.
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities and team coordination experience.
  • Residing in, or willing to relocate to, Darwin/Northern Territory.
