We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join our Microbiology department at Liverpool Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory investigations and tests, as well as maintaining equipment and adhering to established laboratory processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory investigations and tests, applying established methods and procedures
  • Maintain equipment and adhere to laboratory processes and protocols
  • Work collaboratively with clinical laboratory staff to deliver high-quality results
  • Develop and implement quality and service improvement activities
Requirements
  • Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in pathology services, including use of Laboratory Information Systems
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to quality management and continuous quality improvement
