As Logistics Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of logistics operations.

The primary focus of this role encompasses:

  • Ensuring effective material packaging, dispatch, and reception of equipment with a 'right first-time' culture and adherence to established procedures.
  • Compiling records detailing quantity, cost, and type of material received, in stock, or issued.
  • Verifying material received to identify irregularities through inspection and rejection of defective items.
  • Providing direction and leadership to the QA team and monitoring staff performance involved in quality assurance system functions.
  • Liaising with relevant authorities to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing stock in accordance with contractual agreements.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Carrying out the role of Discrepancy Manager - managing investigation, submission, and release of logistic and Technical Discrepancy Reports.
  • Carrying out the role of Disposal Manager - raising Disposal Surveys in accordance with ADF policies.
  • Contributing to the identification and investigation of problems impacting quality controls.
  • Performing documentation checks of paperwork received with AP receipts in accordance with procedures and authorisation.
  • Carrying out required CAMM2 transactions for incoming and outgoing AP.
  • Identifying process efficiencies and potential impacts on supportability of Authorised to Fit Products.
  • Liaising with technical experts to verify part numbers and configuration status of repairable and consumable items.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A passion for aviation and airworthiness.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in Defence and/or Civilian Aviation Quality Assurance and Maintenance Management processes and Logistics systems.
  • Unit Inspecting Officer (UIO) qualification or ability to obtain this qualification.
  • Proficient knowledge of MILIS Item Management.
  • Proven ability to lead a team effectively within a dynamic regulatory environment.
  • Strong experience with customer partnering through building effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Well-developed ability to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvement.
  • Proven ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs and priorities.
