Senior Legal Professional

Sigma-Executive is seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our Melbourne-based legal team. As Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in providing commercial, legally sound advice across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating project agreements for large-scale renewable generation and battery storage projects.
- Advising on project financing, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance within the energy sector.
- Supporting development and delivery of projects from inception to completion.
- Managing legal aspects of claims and disputes with a proactive approach to commercial outcomes.
- Providing strategic input into major commercial decisions and contract strategies.
- A minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience gained at a highly regarded law firm or in-house within the energy, infrastructure, or resources sectors.
- Strong front-end project experience; a track record advising on complex, high-value transactions.
- Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating large-scale infrastructure or energy project contracts.
- Experience with renewable energy, battery storage, or major energy infrastructure projects, ideally under EPC, O&M, or PPP delivery models.
- Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving skills, and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
