About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Operations Engineer to join our team at Energy Queensland. As a key member of our Network Operations team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on high voltage power systems, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to our customers.

As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you will be an expert in your field, providing real-time RPEQ professional engineering supervision, direction, decisions, and advice to Network Operations teams. You will also be responsible for providing strategic input into Project Leadership Teams for major project development and viability assessment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice and support on high voltage power systems
  • Ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to customers
  • Providing real-time RPEQ professional engineering supervision, direction, decisions, and advice to Network Operations teams
  • Providing strategic input into Project Leadership Teams for major project development and viability assessment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Demonstrated commitment to improvements in safety performance, the implementation of best practice environment management and full operational legislative compliance
  • Participates and leads internal stakeholder collaborative activities to achieve effective cross work functional integration, aligned and coordinated planning and delivery of work and strategic goals and objectives
