Job Title: Software Engineering Lead

This is a senior leadership role overseeing software development and systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing software engineering teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring successful project delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage software development teams, oversee projects, and provide technical direction.
  • Serve as the initial point of escalation for software development issues within specific areas of responsibility.
  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
  • Complete complex bug fixes and operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Mentor junior engineers, design data models, and keep up-to-date with new technology developments.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Strong experience with resource models like Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation.
  • Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation language, including optimization techniques.
  • Understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.
  • Ability to design and work with complex data models.
  • Knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
  • Expertise in development languages like Rust, C/C++, UNIX.
  • Ability to write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
  • Skills in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving business objectives and goals through direct management.
  • Organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across functional groups and departments.
  • Problem-solving experience leading teams to identify and troubleshoot complex project issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
