Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated occupational therapist to join our team in making a positive impact in the community.

This role involves assessing participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized assessments. The successful candidate will interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as a proactive attitude and motivation to improve and test new ideas.   • A current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist is required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas is expected.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity.
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Support and advise on adaptations to the environment, including home, school, work, and residential facilities.
  • Recommend provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.
