The role of an Occupational Therapist is to provide assistance and support to individuals with physical or psychological conditions, helping them regain independence and return to meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' functional needs and goals.
- Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to enhance daily living skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and case managers.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Educate clients and their families on strategies to support recovery and independence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the relevant occupational therapy board.
- Experience in adult rehabilitation, particularly in community or clinical settings is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
