Flight Control Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Flight Control Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge flight control systems for advanced rockets, including the next-generation Starship vehicle.

As a Flight Control Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative guidance, navigation, and control systems that enable reliable and precise flight. You will work closely with a talented team of engineers to develop, analyze, and test vehicles and subsystems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics or engineering and experience with control systems, orbital mechanics, and software languages such as Python or C++. A postgraduate degree in physics or engineering is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement flight control systems for advanced rockets
  • Develop 6-DOF dynamics simulation models used for flight analysis and validation
  • Conduct launch vehicle trajectory analysis and performance dispersion studies
  • Support launch and mission operations of vehicles
  • Perform testing of flight control software using hardware-in-the-loop testing and Monte Carlo analysis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline AND 5+ years of professional experience
  • Experience with control systems, orbital mechanics, classical dynamics, modeling, and simulation
  • Experience with software languages Python or C++
