Job Title: Nurse Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team as a Nurse Consultant. This pivotal role requires delivering high-quality clinical nursing expertise and driving improvements in mental health services across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert mental health nursing care to consumers
  • Offer clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff
  • Lead projects and programs to enhance consumer and service outcomes
Essential Criteria:
  • Be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Hold or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Hold a graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Have at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in the mental health nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision and leadership of multidisciplinary staff, student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
  • Experience working with Aboriginal consumers
