We are a purpose-built clinic in Hastings, Victoria, offering a unique opportunity for experienced veterinary nurses to join our team. Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and technology, providing a supportive and dynamic work environment.
About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse to join our team as a nursing leader. The successful candidate will have a strong background in veterinary nursing, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. They will be responsible for managing nurse consultations, upholding nursing standards and protocols, and supervising nursing staff.
The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Veterinary Technician Degree, and be registered with the relevant veterinary nursing association. They will be comfortable with sole charge nursing and have a strong ability to mentor and train junior nurses.
Key Responsibilities- Nurse administration: manage nurse consultations and uphold nursing standards and protocols
- Hospital supervision: collaborate with the hospital manager to guide and mentor hospital staff
- Hospital nursing: general care of patients, including catheterization, blood collection, and other procedures as required
- Surgical nursing: general surgical duties, including admission, preparation, anaesthetic monitoring, X-ray assistance, and equipment care
