Research Opportunities in Statistical Inference
The Research Associate is expected to make significant contributions towards the research effort in statistical inference, specifically for stochastic point processes with incomplete data.
This involves developing novel theories and methodologies of statistical inference and applying them to solve problems arising in various disciplines, such as environmental sciences, finance, economics, neuroscience, criminology, media study and social sciences.
- Skill Requirements:
- Expertise in statistical inference and stochastic point processes
- Familiarity with machine learning and data analysis tools
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $106K – $113K plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Working Environment
The role of Research Associate will be based in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New South Wales, providing access to world-class facilities and expertise.
