
Senior Mechanical Equipment Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to work as a skilled mechanical field engineer in New South Wales. You will be part of our team that provides on-site support to customers, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance of equipment.
Main Responsibilities:- Performing tasks such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and retrofits in various service categories.
- Identifying potential equipment failures and requesting proactive corrective actions. Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
- Participating in root cause analysis processes as required.
- Coordinating materials, parts, documentation, and equipment for service activities.
- Performing equipment health inspections, validation and parameter audits.
- Analyzing equipment performance using historical and electronic data to identify optimization opportunities.
- Conducting scheduled lifecycle auditing and preparing comprehensive life cycle condition reports for customers.
- Providing expert advice and support during breakdowns to minimize production losses.
- Developing and delivering high-standard training to personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Maintaining good relationships with customers and understanding their needs.
- Certificate IV and above qualifications are highly regarded.
- Trainer and assessor qualifications are highly regarded.
- Coal Board Medical certification is highly regarded.
- Previous experience providing technical support for high-performance machinery.
- Familiarity with equipment operation and maintenance is highly regarded.
- Underground experience in longwall mining environments is highly desirable.
- A strong focus on safety.
- Williness to travel to customer mine sites across New South Wales, including extended consecutive nights away from home.
- Availability to support customers outside of business hours and work alternative shifts (afternoon/night/weekend) as needed.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, administrative skills and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Full Driver's License (NSW or QLD).
