Job Title: Support Worker for Young People

At Kanda, we provide community-based care services that cater to the unique needs of children and young adults in residential settings.

As a passionate support worker, you will be part of our team that aims to create a safe and nurturing environment for young people. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support and supervision to young people in residential settings
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans to meet their specific needs
  • Assisting with daily activities, promoting self-care, education, and recreational activities
  • Promoting a positive living environment that fosters trust and respect
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Requirements
  • Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or being willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement
  • Available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers)
  • Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
  • Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
  • Experience working with young people/children
  • Experience working in other support work related fields, i.e. disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare
