Senior Swimming Coach

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Swimming Coach to join our team.
About the RoleThe successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing effective training plans to progress swimmers through various levels. They will also lead a team of instructors to develop the program and pathway, ensuring all activities are conducted in a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement training plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Lead a team to develop the program and pathway, promoting participation in affiliated swimming clubs.
- Ensure adequate qualifications for the program and conduct all squad activities safely.
- Monitor swimmer progression and work with the Swimming and Water Safety program to identify talented individuals.
- Conduct swimming competitions in a safe manner.
- Work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, and attend competitions throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for aquatic programs and enjoy working with children and adult athletes. They should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications- Teacher of Competitive Swimming/Competitive Strokes qualification.
- Bronze level qualification (preferred).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- National Police Check.
- Previous experience in a comparable role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
