Electrical Fitter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Fitter to join our team in the Hunter Power Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on our power station.

The Hunter Power Project is a 660MW power station located in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. The project involves the construction of two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on the power station.
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Operate a variety of electrical equipment, including switchboards, circuit breakers and generators.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and engineers to achieve project goals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

  • A grade electrical license.
  • Trade qualification in electrical fitting.
  • Construction White Card.
  • CPR/LV certification.
  • Driver's license.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with high voltage (HV) systems.
  • Knowledge of HV switching and switchgear.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality and environment compliance.
