Dairy Farm Maintenance Expert Role

Job Overview:

  • The Dairy Farm Maintenance Expert is a technical specialist who oversees and maintains all dairy farm equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • This involves troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing faulty or worn-out parts of the milking systems, refrigeration units, and other machinery.
  • Additionally, this role includes scheduling and executing preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment failures and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair automated milking systems, clusters, pulsators, vacuum pumps, sensors, and pipelines.
  • Service refrigeration and milk cooling systems, including compressors, plate coolers, and bulk tanks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues on milking equipment.
  • Maintain system hygiene and ensure compliance with milk quality regulations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and lifespan.

Requirements:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering).
  • Recognized engineering discipline certification (e.g., PE License).
  • At least two years of practical experience in repairs of relevant systems.
