The role of Senior Horticultural Operations Leader involves overseeing the day-to-day management of large-scale horticultural production activities, ensuring a seamless integration of nursery propagation, farming, laboratory support, and packhouse operations.

This leadership position requires an individual who can develop and implement strategic production plans, crop scheduling, and resource allocation to meet yield and quality targets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading diverse teams, including growers, lab technicians, and packhouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Crop Production Management: Develop and implement seasonal production plans, crop scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal crop yields and quality.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor diverse teams, promoting a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor operational budgets and KPIs, driving efficiencies and cost control while maintaining product standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with agronomists, supply chain, and management to support strategic goals and resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years preferred) managing large-scale horticultural operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of propagation, crop production, post-harvest processes, and laboratory support functions.
