We are seeking an experienced Educational Developer to join our team at the University of New South Wales. As an Educational Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning within the Faculty of Law and Justice.

About the Role

The Educational Developer will report to the Education Design & Quality Manager and will be responsible for providing orientation and onboarding sessions for new Teaching Fellows. You will also co-create teaching resources with casual Course Convenors and/or Teaching Fellows for course design, development, delivery, and assessment practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide orientation and onboarding sessions for new Teaching Fellows
  • Co-create teaching resources with casual Course Convenors and/or Teaching Fellows
  • Advise and assist the adoption and effective use of educational technologies
  • Work collaboratively with a wider team on the identification, development, and delivery of academic support programs
  • Build and engage a Faculty cohort of sessional staff/Teaching Fellows
  • Research, develop, and disseminate relevant resources and toolkits
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design and development
  • Proven experience in delivering professional development for academic staff
  • Strong knowledge of educational technologies and their application in higher education
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
