About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Transport Officer.

As a key member of our hospital staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of patients throughout the facility.

Your primary responsibility will be to transport patients using wheelchair or stretcher, depending on their needs.

  • Transport patients safely and efficiently throughout the hospital.
  • Assess patients for the most appropriate method of transfer.
  • Assist with patient flow within the hospital.
  • Maintain manual handling competency.

You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the transport vehicle and equipment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Health Services / Aged Care or equivalent desirable.
  • Flexibility to work across a Monday to Friday roster is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge in Manual Handling, Occupational Safety and Health practices, Infection Control and Housekeeping Protocols.
  • Ability to perform a physically demanding role.
