This position involves working as part of a dedicated team responsible for food preparation, serving meals to patients and customers, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Packing and portioning food items according to set guidelines and menus is a key responsibility.
  • Serving meals in a timely and efficient manner is essential for providing quality service.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, dishes, tables, and serving areas is crucial for maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess certain qualifications and skills.

  • Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent education level is required.
  • Physical ability to lift food, supplies, and equipment up to 46lbs and push/pull meal carts up to 250lbs is necessary.

Experience in customer service, food service, hospitals, or long-term care environments can be beneficial. Relevant certifications such as Food Safe Certificate or WHMIS training are also an asset.
