Financial Leadership Role

As a key member of the finance organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain cost accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  2. Analyze and manage costs associated with production, including materials, labor, and overhead.
  3. Support the evolution of the standard costing system to include variance analysis, new product costing, and annual updates.
  4. Evaluate inventory valuation on the balance sheet, including reserve establishment.
  5. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and improve metrics.
  6. Monitor labor utilization and efficiency related to production builds, understanding root causes and implementing actions.
  7. Review manufacturing department spend for reasonableness and variances.
  8. Present monthly site financial performance, highlighting key drivers, variances, and trends to leadership.
  9. Support ERP system implementation as needed, focusing on cost accounting, master data management, and related reporting.
  10. Participate in annual physical inventory counts, reviewing variances and conducting audits as necessary.
  11. Manage the inventory cycle count program, identifying opportunities for improved accuracy and partnering with operations to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with an emphasis on manufacturing finance/cost accounting.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience using standard costing in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience using advanced Excel functions for financial analyses, variance analysis, and cost simulations.
  • Ability to present complex financial metrics to non-Finance personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Net Suite or Oracle.
  • Solid understanding of WMS and MRP systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 security clearance.
