Job Overview:

This role contributes significantly to our team by working closely with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to coordinate technical requirements and specifications while ensuring timely project deliverables.

  • Ensures all project administration correspondence and compliance with relevant documentation requirements for construction projects.
  • Understands design and procurement schedules, aligning them with construction schedules and project needs.
  • Reviews Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation to grasp key design and engineering requirements.
  • Manages conceptual designs in AutoCAD (or equivalent), performs preliminary engineering analyses, and conducts performance evaluations while guiding Junior Design Engineers to meet client expectations, standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Develops and maintains pursuit performance metrics, including a PVsyst Report.
  • Reviews design documents, shop drawings, datasheets, and other applicable technical information.
  • Integrates equipment specifications into design strategies and techniques for construction plans and drawings.
  • Reviews detailed engineering drawings (civil, electrical, structural, or others) to ensure compliance with project requirements, construction practicality, efficiency, codes, and standards.
  • Reviews contract documents and specifications to identify overall project requirements and understand impacts on construction engineering design.
  • Calls out energy losses in designs and develops strategies to optimize system performance.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and fosters strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
