MS Dynamics Functional Consultant Job Description

The MS Dynamics Functional Consultant is a key role in translating business processes into system configurations and implementing business processes in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

As a Functional SME, you will analyze complex business problems and help define the solution within the CRM system. You will identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scale new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner.

Job Responsibilities
  • Interface with Business and IT cross-functional teams to identify and resolve business systems problems.
  • Perform gap analysis: as-is vs to-be.
  • Document functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases.
  • Accurately translate business requirements into functionality.
  • Manage requirements to meet business expectations.
  • Prioritize business requirements and recommend changes to multiple business processes.
  • Assess the risks of various solutions looking across multiple applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of the CRM business functions for which applications are used.
  • Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple implementations and/or platform upgrades.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at all levels including customers, vendors, peers, business stakeholders, and management required.
