Dam Safety Engineering Expertise

We are seeking experienced Dam Safety Engineers and/or Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved Independent Consultants to join our thriving Hydropower Practice.

Our team provides expert engineering consulting services for all types of hydropower owners across the US and Canada.

  • Conduct inspections and analyses of dams and hydraulic structures;
  • Develop design options or recommendations for hydropower and dam safety projects;
  • Lead the design of new and/or rehabilitation of hydraulic structures;
  • Apply critical thinking and creativity to address unique engineering challenges.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering (or related engineering degree), minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, and familiarity with FERC's Part 12 Dam Safety Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform site visits and conduct thorough inspections of dams and hydraulic structures;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive designs and recommendations;
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory requirements;
  • Communicate complex technical information to stakeholders and clients.
