Product Operations Lead

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Operations Lead to join our team for the Australian Open 2026 project. This is a full-time fixed-term contract from September 2025 to February 2026.

This role is responsible for coordinating and managing various product activations in the Australian Open Precinct, focusing on outdoor builds and merchandise retail operations and logistics.

  • Drive seamless delivery by collaborating with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and venue stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for retail and precinct contractors, overseeing access, logistics, documentation, safety, and delivery.
  • Lead operational logistics during bump-in and bump-out periods, including production scheduling and contractor management.
  • Oversee asset inventory, warehouse logistics, and precinct dressing, including signage, greenery, furniture, and equipment.
  • Prepare and administer budgets, contracts, and supplier documentation, contributing to procurement and cost tracking.
  • Implement and enforce workplace health and safety procedures to deliver high-quality results.
About You:
  • Strong understanding of brand execution within major events environments.
  • Knowledge of event operations, including pre-production planning, creative production, event build project management, logistics, and WHS.
  • Skilled in interpreting build drawings, managing project budgets and timelines, and utilizing project management tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a professional, collaborative approach.
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in events production and management, project management, and delivery.
