Job Overview

The Portfolio Strategist role is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by developing and executing the overall strategy for a product portfolio. This involves aligning with market trends, customer needs, and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify new opportunities and gaps in the portfolio.
  • Define the product roadmap, including prioritization of initiatives, feature enhancements, and portfolio expansion plans.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of products within the portfolio, from concept through to end-of-life decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to ensure timely development, launch, and ongoing support of products.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze metrics, and implement strategies to optimize product profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to the portfolio.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Act as a liaison between product management, sales, marketing, and executive leadership to communicate portfolio strategy, initiatives, and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on priorities, resolve issues, and drive consensus on strategic decisions.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering
  • Possess strong Office Automation Product knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Professional Skills / Knowledge
  • Minimum of 6 years of expertise in product management, offering management, or related roles, with a focus on portfolio management
  • Proven track record in portfolio performance management and lifecycle management
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management
  • Experience in developing and implementing process improvements and new business models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Developed understanding of building controls (or similar) technology
