We are currently seeking a Senior Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our health service team.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing culturally safe and holistic clinical care, health education and promotion for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people within Western Australia. This includes working within their scope of practice and considering the professional capabilities as specified by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia.

The position involves working with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care, while also contributing to the development and implementation of health programs that promote the well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Culturally Safe Practice: The successful applicant must have experience in providing culturally safe and respectful care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Health Education: A strong understanding of health education principles and practices is essential for this role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are required to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
