Lead Data Science Chapter

This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead a team of skilled data scientists and shape our enterprise-wide AI strategy. As a hands-on leader, you will be responsible for the technical and professional development of the team, ensuring they have the skills and resources to deliver high-quality, impactful work.

  • Build, mentor, and coach a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to our global enterprise AI strategy, collaborating with product and technology teams to drive regional roadmaps for exploration and adoption.
  • Own the technical direction for the Data Science chapter, embedding industry best practices into the organization and ensuring the team builds effective solutions.

You will also be expanding capabilities into important areas like marketing and fraud, driving customer-focused solutions in partnership with Product and Sales teams. This role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.

  • Demonstrated record of building, mentoring, and developing data science teams in a corporate environment.
  • 10+ years of experience with a solid understanding of data science industry best practices, model building, and a passion for staying up-to-date with new advancements.

A strong passion for continuous improvement and a mindset of curiosity are essential for this role. Experience working effectively with other Data & Analytics, Product, and Technology functions to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions is also required.
