This critical role plays a key part in ensuring our compliance and risk environment is managed effectively. The successful applicant will have experience in managing compliance practices, excellent project management skills, and the ability to provide expert advice to our leadership team. You will also have strong collaboration and communication skills, system thinking skills, and proficiency in using technology to streamline regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate our ACFID Compliance Self-Assessment and accreditation processes.
- Manage our policy library, standards and procedures, including consultation processes and risk management education opportunities.
- Oversee our risk register management and reporting for executive and Board audiences, ensuring timely updates.
- Coordinate compliance audits and incident reporting, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and alignment with current regulatory requirements.
- Deliver training and communications that build organisational understanding of compliance and risk.
- Support safeguarding management and whistleblowing systems in line with our policies and values.
About You
We are looking for someone with experience, knowledge, and skills to oversee regulatory and legislative requirements for an INGO at both the system and detailed level. You should have enthusiasm for our mission and comfort with being part of a faith-aligned organisation. Relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 3-5 years' experience are essential. You should also have a belief in embedding compliance into everyday processes rather than regarding it as a tick box exercise.
