Job Title: Middle School Educational AssistantSupporting Student Learning in a Dynamic Environment

The role of the Middle School Educational Assistant involves providing support to classroom teachers with individual and small group learning in a classroom setting. This encompasses cafeteria and playground supervision.

This position requires an autonomous professional who can work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school setting, particularly with students for whom English is a second or third language.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering targeted instructional support for individual and small groups of English Language Learner students
  • Maintaining effective communication with teachers regarding student needs
  • Communicating with parents as necessary
  • Translating school documents from English to Spanish
  • Demonstrating patience in high-pressure situations
  • Honoring confidentiality protocols

Terms of Employment:

  • A 181-day work agreement at 7.5 hours per day (0.94 FTE)
  • A competitive salary based on finalized OSEA negotiated agreement
