Personal Care Specialist

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating positive health and well-being options for individuals, their families, and carers through the provision of person-centred care duties.
  • Assisting with medication (if assessed as competent) and wound dressing, as well as daily living activities.
  • Working collaboratively with residents to continue doing things they love.

We are willing to invest in training and offer support to ensure success in this role.

Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Aged Care Support or currently working towards obtaining this qualification.
  • Knowledge of contemporary regulatory requirements related to aged care.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and meet resident care needs using a holistic approach, prioritizing the resident's needs and those responsible for them.
  • Tolerance, patience, and empathy for residents and their needs.
  • Understanding of Continuous Quality Improvement, Work Health and Safety, and Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Good written and oral communication skills, as well as numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment, with attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills, including planning and prioritising work according to strict guidelines.
