About the Role
Ward 6C is a 30-bedded Medical Oncology ward catering to the local community. We are seeking a talented Assistant in Nursing to join our team, supporting continuing education for all staff through our education department and clinical nurse educators on the ward.
Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant in Nursing, your duties will include:
- Assisting nurses and hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties.
- Working as part of the healthcare team, practicing in accordance with state legislation and within designated scope of practice parameters.
- Assessing patients using therapeutic skills.
- Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III/IV in Community and Health Services, Personal Carer, or undergraduate nursing student.
- Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience as an Assistant in Nursing is desired.
