About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join our team at ArcTree. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating a range of injection moulding machines, including horizontal and vertical machines with a T capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and start up injection moulding activities, including new dies, to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment parameters to maintain consistent product quality and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance on moulds and machines, and troubleshoot issues with moulding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity, utilizing techniques such as 5S, LEAN, and SMED.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Organize and plan die changes with the production and moulding supervisor to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the moulding process, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Ensure the moulding area is well-maintained, with up-to-date spares and consumables to prevent production stoppages.
  • Implement safe work practices throughout the moulding area, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Identify issues with moulding machinery and plan replacement of machines to maintain optimal production levels.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with a range of different injection moulding materials, and a strong understanding of polymer technology. Additional desirable skills include experience working with automated robots and supervising die changes.

  • Previous experience in plastic injection mould setting, ideally with a Certificate IV in Polymer Technology.
  • Experience in supervising and die changes, with a strong understanding of production processes.
  • Solid experience as an Injection Moulding Technician, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products.
  • Able to work autonomously or under limited supervision, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift and crane operating licenses, with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
