Your Impact

We are seeking an Aviation Medical Officer / General Practitioner to join us in a part-time capacity. As a Medical Officer – AVMO, you'll make a positive impact by:

  1. ">
  2. You will be responsible for the delivery of medical services including aviation-based services such as fitness to fly assessments, aviation medicals and aircrew clinical health management to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.">
  3. You will be required to provide medical technical advice to senior leadership and commanders of units.">
  4. You may be required to provide the services in either an outpatient setting or as inpatient care within a hospital or medical centre.">

Key Requirements

  • ">
  • Unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner">
  • FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration">
  • Minimum 2 years' full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years">
  • Australian Citizen">
  • Basic military aviation medicine course or equivalent - Opportunity to be sponsored to complete this if you do not currently hold any of the below">
