Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead the transformation of our enterprise SIEM environment. This is a high-impact technical role where you will combine your cyber security expertise with data engineering know-how to pioneer new technology, drive automation and influence the direction of a major SIEM uplift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of the enterprise SIEM environment from a technical standpoint driving innovation through leading-edge solutions.
  • Design build and optimise security data flows enabling SOC teams to act faster and more effectively by leveraging advanced technologies like Splunk and Google Chronicle.
  • Integrate tools like Bindplane to streamline ingestion enrichment and routing of security data from multiple sources.
  • Drive automation through SOAR scripting and CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work improving overall productivity.
  • Act as a technical leader and influencer within the team bringing new ideas championing innovation and lifting engineering standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong cyber security background with experience in large enterprise environments and a deep understanding of threat posture SOC operations and security processes.
  • Hands-on SIEM expertise especially with Splunk and knowledge of Google Chronicle with knowledge of tools like Big Query or Vertex AI.
  • Experience in automation and engineering practices including SOAR Python DevOps and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of data ingestion and integration tools such as Bindplane and why they matter in building effective security capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence teams drive adoption of new technology and deliver results in a transformation setting.
